Where Christmas started and how other people celebrate it around the world.


In America we celebrate Christmas by celebrating the birth of jesus on December 25th. We celebrate by getting into the spirit.  Like wearing our ugly christmas sweaters to Christmas partys. Eating things such as candy canes and drinking hot chocolate.

Getting to open our Christmas presents on Christmas day given to us by the one and only Santa Clause. In this time many people around the world also like to give to the ones who do not get to experience this.  giving to the ones who have no family to be with on Christmas day warms the human spirit. This time of the year is very special to us because it shows how much we all care and love to spread the holiday 

¨Christmas in Mexico you celebrate by eating Tamales.¨ says Sophomore Adrian Arroyo.

Playing games such as pool, card games and also games made up by families. ¨You go to peoples houses for Mexican dishes and have a great time by being with friends¨  says Sophomore Asael.

They open presents at 12 o’clock midnight instead of waiting for Santa to come down the chimney and eat the cookies.  Others wake up early Christmas morning to see presents Santa has left. In all the celebrations are all the same in some way. We all spread holiday cheer and try to get into the Jolly spirit.

In Spain they have a festival that is celebrated and it is about the Christmas story.  Most people in Spain eat their main Christmas meal on Christmas Eve before the service The traditional Spanish culture  dinner was (Pavo Trufado De Navidad) which is Turkey stuffed with truffles. Also they go to a Midnight Mass like the Spanish do. They celebrate Epiphany:(Fiesta De Los Tres Reyes Mages ) in English this is The three magical kings its celebrated on January 6th and that is when kids open their presents.
